The Department of Molecular Physiology & Biophysics at the University of Vermont seeks an Assistant Professor, Educator-Track, with expertise in the biomedical sciences at the molecular, cellular and systems physiology levels. Experience with asynchronous on-line education is preferred. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be expected to engage in scholarly activity in the realm of biomedical science education. Specific duties including helping to develop and teach in an asynchronous on-line option for our established Master of Medical Science Program (https://learn.uvm.edu/program/uvm-master-of-medical-science-degree/), which helps prepare graduate students seeking additional academic credentials for health-related professional degree programs such as medical school, D.O. school, dental school, veterinary school, physician assistant programs, etc.
Minimum Qualifications: Doctoral level training in biological/biomedical sciences; effective organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills are essential. Desirable Qualifications: Previous online teaching experience is preferred, Practical experience working in the field of medicine/or health science is encouraged.
