The Department of Social Sciences is currently seeking an Economics Full-Time Faculty member to begin August 2022.

• You must demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process and the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed.
• Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring and coaching students.
• Development and revision of courses and instructional materials as necessary.
• Post syllabi and grades on Brightspace

Qualifications - External

• M.A. or M.S. in Economics or a Master’s degree and 18 graduate credit hours in the related field.
• We prefer candidates with knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System and teaching experience.
• Must be able to work in a multicultural environment that reflects our student body and embraces our vision and mission.
• Evidence of and commitment to leading and working as part of a team both inside and outside of the Social Science department.
• Demonstrated interest in professional development focused on teaching, learning, assessment and program development.
• Ability to teach additional social science disciplines is desirable
• Experience with diverse, multi-lingual student population desired, as is a commitment to the open access mission of the community college.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with diverse students and staff.
