Research Scientist I, Conservation Genomics and Molecular Ecology
Location: Moscow

Pay Range: $60,606 annually or higher depending on experience

Position Summary:
This is a research scientist position based in the Department of Fish and Wildlife Sciences in the College of Natural Resources in the focal area of conservation genomics. This scientist will conduct research and write publications in conservation genomics and molecular ecology. The researcher will participate in team-based research, mentor students and assist with grant writing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in a field relevant to conservation genomics; A master’s degree plus an additional two years of research experience may be substituted for a Ph.D.
- Three years of research experience related to the domain of this position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in the focal research area
- A minimum of one year postdoc experience in population or conservation genomics
- Direct experience in laboratory and/or bioinformatics techniques for genomics
- Demonstrated ability to publish peer-reviewed research in conservation genomics or related field
- Experience with creating libraries for reduced representation
- Experience with creating libraries for whole genome sequencing
- Experience in metabarcoding
- Experience in eDNA techniques
- Experience in advanced genomic methods such as transcriptomics, GWAS analyses, epigenetic analyses
- Experience in command line and coding for bioinformatic analyses
- Successful grant writing
