The Counseling Department in the College of Education and
Professional Development invites applications for a tenure track
position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning August
2022.
Responsibilities will include teaching live on-campus, online
courses and virtually as well
as advising. In addition, the successful candidate will fulfill the
role of clinical placement
coordinator for all field experience courses and coordinate all
activities related to the use of the Tevera program as it related
to CACREP. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong
professional identity as a a counselor who participates in
scholarship, research, professional service, university service,
and community service activities.
Doctorate in Counseling, Counselor Education, Counseling
Psychology or
highly related field.
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the
job description
Preference is given to those from a CACREP accredited
program. ABD will be considered with a definite timeline
for completion. Licensure and experience as a school
counselor
and /or LPC is required. A demonstrated record of
face-to-face and online teaching, scholarly activities, and clear
potential for success in graduate education is preferred.
Preference will be given to those who have taught in online and
virtual environments. Experience in supervising practicum and
internship counselor education students at the graduate level is
preferred.
