Student Programming Coordinator

Come Join the Student Housing: Undergraduate Housing and Residential Life Team!  Student Housing works to create spaces where students thrive and connect and through the lens of the ALL Living and Learning and curricular approach, UHRL takes a particular and deliberate approach to designing and delivering intentional learning opportunities.  As a result of living on campus, residents will become engaged community members who are socially, culturally, and personally responsible.

We Are Looking For:
The Student Programming Coordinator will supervise the Resident Housing Association (RHA) Programming Board. 

Under general direction, the Student Development Coordinator (SDC) is responsible for the development and implementation of the Anteater Living & Learning (A.L.L.) curricular approach and model for Student Housing’s  Resident Housing Association (RHA) programs for the undergraduate residents. The SDC is responsible for assisting and/or overseeing the evaluation process for the Resident Housing Association programming efforts. The SDC provides direction, support, and supervision for 10 student staff who serve on the Resident Housing Association Programming Board. The SDC, through their evaluative and assessment efforts of all Resident Housing Association programs is also responsible for incorporating changes based upon their assessment findings.

What You Will Bring to This Position:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience working in a college residential environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • Skill in programming educational and social activities for students
  • Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy and professionalism
  • Ability to multi-task, verbal communication, written communication and organization skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of constituencies including administrators, staff, students, and vendors.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in group/team settings
  • Ability to respond with flexibility and efficiency to frequent changes in task focus, competing priorities, and multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and to follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively supervise, lead and skills to motivate employees and influence attitudes and behaviors
