Position Details

Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Lecturer-Pool faculty are term positions hired to teach one to four courses per semester. Course requirements may include a combination of teaching on-campus classes at the main campus in Huntsville, and online classes, depending on the needs of the academic department. Lecturer-Pool faculty hiring is based upon student demand, on a semester-by-semester basis. The ability to teach multiple levels of ballet to BFA students will be the primary consideration for this position. Additional assignments could include dance history, world dance, pedagogy, choreography, kinesiology/anatomy for dance, or other areas of expertise that support the BFA and/or MFA curricula. There will be opportunities to choreograph and have work presented in department concerts each semester.

Educational Requirements for the Position
Requires a minimum of a Master’s degree in the related field for lower-level course offerings. MFA preferred. Experience Required for the Position
