Faculty Position in Homiletics
Duke University Divinity School seeks to make a faculty
appointment in Homiletics, effective July 1, 2023. Applications are
sought from persons with expertise in the art of preaching and the
relevant theological disciplines. The candidate appointed to this
position will be expected to teach the introductory preaching
courses in our relevant degree programs, various electives, and
other courses as needed. Additionally, the appointed candidate will
be expected to teach advanced seminars for students in the Th.D.
The position is for an Assistant Professor on the tenure track.
A scholarly doctorate (Ph.D. or Th.D.) and a master’s degree in a
theological discipline (preferably the M.Div.) are required.
