Position Summary:
The College of Nursing and Health Professions is currently accepting applications for the position of the Bachelor of Science in Health Studies Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (9 month), non-tenure track position beginning Fall 2022.
Duties & Responsibilities:
A. Teaching:
- Participates in development and evaluation of curriculum, course content, and test construction
- Responsible for didactic courses delivery and/or assignment
- Establishes effective coordinating relationships with co-workers in providing leadership for the program
- Continues education for professional growth
B. Scholarship:
- Conducts continuing education offerings and professional presentations to professional forums
- Participates in research and other scholarly work, including but not limited to grant applications, book and textbook reviews
C. Service:
- Participates in academic advising and guidance of students
- Maintains office hours
- Participates in the faculty organization and appropriate program, college and university activities
- Serves on assigned program, college and university committees
- Sponsors and promotes planned activities of students, program, college and university
- Contributes to the community through involvement in and/or consultation to health related organizations, board membership or professional presentations to the public
- Participates in planning for the continued growth and progress of the program through faculty and student recruitment and retention efforts
- Holds membership and participates in organizations that advance their profession
D. Other duties as assigned

Teaching ability in higher education
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance
Responsible to the Dean, CNHP
Other:

Teaching in the BSHS program and other specific to expertise
Minimum Qualifications:
1) Masters degree in Nursing or related field, consistent with
the degree offerings in the CNHP
2) At least five (5) years’ experience in clinical health care
setting
3) At least three (3) years’ experience as an educator
4) Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally
and in writing
