Job Summary

Manages and oversees audio/visual and television productions. Be a creative, visual storyteller who can help tell a story with energy and visual impact. Responsible for instructional programming and their distribution for instruction, promotion, and cable television use.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages promotional, instructional, online delivered, and cable television productions produced by the staff
• Responsible for all phases of production in the area of editing, directing, lighting, and audio: Record and edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing and importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music, voice-over, sound effects, media management and archiving project media
• Prepares monthly reports concerning productions
• Be able to use (and willing to improve on that use) the following software: Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere CC, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition) and Media Encoder
• Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal college announcement videos, external promotional social videos, recruiting videos, college training and other enterprise-wide projects
• Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables
• Collaborate closely with internal and external clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
• Submits recommendations for audio and video equipment, computer software/hardware, and materials for use in video production facilities
• Operates computers used in the department, to include familiarity with software/hardware needs
• Edits, posts, and monitors technical broadcast standards of submitted programming for cablecasts
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of managerial experience in television production, audio/visual production, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in television production
• Experience in an educational system
• Demo Reel experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with computerized systems
