Working collaboratively with the academic leadership, faculty, and
the Parsons Deans’ Council, the Coordinator will be responsible for
supporting the management of new and existing curricular
partnerships for Parsons. This twelve-month full-time position
reports to the Director of Events and Special Projects. The
Coordinator of Curricular Partnerships will work alongside the
Director of Events and Special Projects and the Operations Managers
in each of our five schools to establish potential
projects/partners and further improve the effectiveness of existing
projects through increasing the level of engagement, resources, and
support from curricular external partners. Partnerships may be
proposed or initiated by our faculty, the Board of Governors, or
other university entities – this role is intended to support those
efforts from inception to conclusion, with a particular emphasis on
ensuring alignment with the academic mission. The New

Principle aspects or overarching objectives of the role will be to:
- Work collaboratively with faculty and academic leadership to establish long-range goals for partnerships.
- Support the establishment of interdisciplinary projects between schools and/or programs.
- Support the implementation of major activities such as conferences, collaborative partnerships, and educational programs in response to identified needs and issues in our community.
- Enhance relationships with representatives from industry and key stakeholders in order to deepen ties within our community.
Key duties: Curricular partner project administration:
- Develop, implement and manage a tracking system for current and future curricular partnerships at Parsons.
- Ensuring that the implementation of partnerships supports overarching vision and goals across all areas of Parsons.
- Communicating protocols for course based curriculum-lead projects, open contests, and exhibitions to faculty and partners.
- Supporting the negotiation and establishment of project terms with curricular external partners and liaising with the General Counsel’s Office on contract terms for all projects and partnerships.
- Supporting the budget development in collaboration with colleagues.
- Initiating and supporting the documentation and dissemination of process and works, in collaboration with the Academic Communications team
- Working with the Office of Development as needed on a variety of tasks related to projects: setting up the administration of funds and scholarships, and implementing new relationships.
- With the Director of Events and Special Projects, facilitating the ongoing assessment of partnerships.
- Participate in college or institution-wide committees as appropriate.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or significant professional and educational experience to meet the requirements of the position.
- Ability to work with a diverse university community of students, faculty, and staff, as well as external partners, with a high degree of cultural competency.
- Demonstrated experience in tracking on grants and budgets Excellent project management, organizational, and interpersonal service skills; highlighting excellence in relationship building.
- Minimum of five years of administrative experience
- High level of computer proficiency in Google Drive, MS Office, and online database systems.
- Ability to work well under pressure, take initiative, and follow through on multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy, speed, and poise.
- Experience with event planning or related work
- Experience with Concur, ,Adobe Creative Suite, and MyDay desired.
