Purpose of Job
Provide leadership for college-wide facilities management and establish procedures for increased repairing and renovating efficiency. Scope of work ranges from long term master plan to short-term college and capital renewal plans.
Education Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION :
Bachelor’s degree in field required, master’s degree strongly preferred
Experience Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
• At least 10 years project management experience in facilities management
• Experience managing capital budgets
• Familiarity with OSHA Safety Regulations required
• Prior supervisory experience required
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
• Planning, organization, directing, and ensuring a best in class administration, operation and maintenance team responsible for campus buildings and campus grounds
• Managing facilities operations, maintenance and repairs including but not limited to; building MEP, custodial services for campus and student housing, campus bookstore, campus food services, grounds & landscaping, campus fleet and auto services
• Act as a liaison for projects to ensure inclusion in project development, accuracy and completion (example: Education team)
• Ensure communication of project development timelines and completion are conveyed throughout projects
• Act as a funnel for all project development and develop appropriate timeline for project approval and completion
• Provide direct and/or oversight project management for deferred maintenance and capital projects as required
• Work with purchasing coordinator to acquire campus related equipment, furniture and electronics
• Responsible for overseeing campus space utilization and master plan to accommodate future growth
• Prepare all facility related budgets and render all invoices
• Provide oversight for facilities relating to risk management issues
• Review and make recommendations relative to construction bids, proposals, and projects
• Work closely with architects and contractors in the development of campus related projects
• Ensure compliance with building codes and zoning regulations
• Provides oversight for monitoring energy efficiencies, services and costs.
• Contribute to PTC’s overall success by performing additional duties as assigned.
