N/A Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the IT System Administrator II position is to serve as the lead Google Workspaces administrator responsible for managing Google Workspaces through Google administrative interfaces and command-line tools such as GAM . This person will be responsible for working to ensure the Google Workspaces environment is meeting the needs of the Campus.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or a
- Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or an
- Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of experience in operations analysis and design, systems programming, or closely related area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
N/A Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the IT System Administrator II position is to serve as the lead Google Workspaces administrator responsible for managing Google Workspaces through Google administrative interfaces and command-line tools such as GAM . This person will be responsible for working to ensure the Google Workspaces environment is meeting the needs of the Campus.
Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for a wide variety of Computer Systems Administration duties.
- Responsible for the research, implementation maintenance, and troubleshooting of various Linux configurations.
- Work will often involve the installation and configuration of servers and/or virtual servers and server-based applications to help keep these machines and applications up to date, secure, and performing optimally. These servers and/or virtual servers and applications are based on various Linux operating systems such as RHEL and CentOS in physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Responsible for university compliance with policies and procedures.
- Work will include patching, configuring, securing, and monitoring various server installations.
- Work with other members and units of Information Technology Services to implement other enterprise-wide applications and services and to build and maintain an infrastructure from which these services and applications will be delivered.
- Ansible is used to ensure a standard deployment is done and that it can be easily audited.
- Shibboleth is used to front application authentication where possible.
