St. Mary’s College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary’s City is accepting résumés for the 10-month position of Staff Therapist, specialized in servicing Black Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) Students.  The Staff Therapist is responsible for the provision of clinical mental health services to the student community.  The Staff Therapist will be a resource for and work in close collaboration with staff and faculty.  Must be able to work independently to handle confidential and sensitive issues with diplomacy. May supervise other clerical and student employees.

Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field. Appropriate licensure or license-eligible in Maryland required. For social workers, LCSW-C required, for counselors; LCPC required. Minimum of two years of experience in managing response to crisis situations and working as part of a therapeutic support team. Ability to use an EMR system (Titanium) and HIPPA compliant Zoom features. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
