Position Summary:
Job Summary
The position will report to the Director of IT Project Management and Strategic Initiatives and will be responsible for creating and maintaining campus forms and workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and consistency of current procedures, and providing support for a variety of applications that departments rely on daily. Manages lifecycle of applications to ensure relevance, compliance, and accurate and timely payments.



Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or Associates degree and 3 years’ experience; or 5 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree. The ability to communicate effectively, regularly, directly, and patiently with colleagues whose knowledge and experience range from technical to functional is essential. This position must possess the ability to think critically, work independently, and solve problems.

Hands on experience with workflow automation, and cloud services and applications is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong technical aptitude for client end technology with the desire to learn emerging technologies; Strong customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; Exhibits a strong IT security posture and strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Form and Workflow Support - Consult with campus community members to effectively use form and backend workflow solutions to improve data collection and evaluation.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot form and backend workflows.
  • Develop forms and workflow standards to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with DBAs and Programming staff regarding data integration and data access related to forms and workflows.
  • Adhere to change control and configuration management standards, policies and procedures.
  • Works with IT Leadership Team to review vendor contracts - ensuring relevance, compliance, and payment of annual invoices
  • Analyze, develop and maintain documentation including FAQs, Knowledge Base articles, troubleshooting guides and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Assists with procurement and routine budget review
  • General - Perform emergency support services during evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support the 24 × 7 information needs of students, faculty, and staff. Contributes to the overall success of Office of Information Technology and the university by performing other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Position requires the ability to move about the campus. Position requires the ability to talk and to hear instruction. Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach. Position requires occasional stooping, crouching, and bending. Position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Working conditions are indoor.
