  • Aids in onboarding, training, and development of resources for staff conducting clinical research through the NCORP Affiliate Network.
  • Serves as clinical trial liaison between Massey and the NCORP affiliate sites, reviews eligibility packets for enrollment and serves as point of contact regarding NCORP trial coordination
  • Supports positive reporting outcomes in data quality of the NCORP Affiliate Network.
  • Supports mission and expectations NCORP Affiliate Network
  • Collaborates closely with clinical research staff within the Affiliate Network and MCC CTO to ensure that key federal/state/local regulatory requirements are followed and that institutional operational research objectives are met. Develops, establishes and maintains productive relationships with VCU colleagues, contacts in the Affiliate Network, and all customers to achieve essential research outcomes. Serves as point of contact between NCI ETCTN and Massey
Minimum Hiring Standards
  • Advanced knowledge of ICH GCP, Federal Regulations and Guidelines and ability to follow established regulations, procedures, and protocol.
  • Experience working with complex oncology protocols (Human Subjects-Biomedical)
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5 plus years’ experience as a clinical research coordinator
  • Experience working with technology: EMR, CTMS, and EDC
  • Possess strong decision-making skills and ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage large volumes of information, ability to multi-task and prioritize competing priorities
  • Ability to contribute to preparation and delivery of reports, trainings and SOPs or ability to mentor and train others
  • Ability to provide own transportation to meet with affiliate partners
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Hiring Standards
  • Professional certification preferred
  • 3 plus years’ experience in oncology
  • Experience working with program management will add strength to applicant’s role
  • Experience and/or in the overall management of clinical trials
  • Experience working with federally funded clinical trials
