Job Description

The position will serve as the main ad copywriter for a busy, deadline-oriented office producing persuasive content that promotes enrollment in online programs from all four campuses. The position will write and optimize for digital content geared toward persuasive actions like inquiring for more information and starting an application for admission. Scope of work includes writing copy for a mix of digital marketing channels (social media, email, search, pay-per-click, display ads, streaming audio and video); organic social media ads and posts that drive engagement; and traditional media geared toward recruitment. Additionally, this position will monitor social media accounts and facilitate the social media team. The successful candidate is enthusiastically curious, a savvy copywriter and quick thinking. The candidate must understand the nuances of persuasive communications that also are factual and relevant to learners at all academic levels in post-secondary education.

Shift

Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This position have the capacity for remote work.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, advertising, strategic communications, interactive media or similar.
  • Strong advertising copywriter. You excel at writing content that is persuasive and engaging.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You have a knack for making the confusing sound simple and the complicated sound achievable.
  • Experienced in writing for myriad types and lengths of content – both short and long-form.
  • Understanding of message and tone shifts based on different audience groups.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Capability of managing multiple projects simultaneously while producing high quality work.
  • Ability to follow creative direction and work under deadlines.
  • Must demonstrate customer service, integrity, and a strong commitment to inclusion, diversity and equal opportunity in their activities.
