Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry within the School of Medicine has an opening for a RN Case Manager within our Center of Excellence team. The Center has developed and implemented innovative multi-system strategies to increase the safety and wellbeing of children and youth involved in child welfare and other related child and family serving systems for the State of Missouri.

These goals of the center will be achieved through simultaneous, integrated, and evolving activities supported by multiple schools within the University of Missouri working collaboratively with each other and with the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children’s Division, MO HealthNet Division, Missouri Department of Mental Health, and other partners as appropriate.

Functional title for this position is RN Case Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

-Identification and obtainment of information needed by Center staff to assess child’s specific services and issues
- Data entry into RedCap; review, revise and update child case information.

- Provision of information to DSS staff and contractors as identified by DSS regarding a child’s specific issues/needs in person, over the phone/WebEx or via telehealth

- Coordination with other health providers and insurance companies including but not limited to Medicaid managed care organizations

- Documentation of consultation and other services

- Maintain knowledge of MO’s child welfare and mental health systems

- Identification and reporting of trends and issues to Coordinator

- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Salary

Salary Range: $51,126--$76,918

Grade: PAT 8A

Monday – Friday

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Professional clinical degree or licensure with the State of Missouri as an Registered Nurse (RN), Physical Therapist( PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Masters in Social Work is required. Prefer certification in case management or other related specialty. Prefer LMSW in Social WorK,

Three years clinical experience, which provides knowledge, and understanding of medical terminology, patient diagnoses, treatment protocols and disease process is required.

Experience in case management, social work or utilization management work is preferred.
