Job Description

The RSVP (Relationship & Sexual Violence Prevention) Center Case Manager position is a full-time professional staff member who will provide support and guidance to various students, staff, and faculty (clients) at the University of Missouri - Columbia.

The RSVP Center Case Coordinator is responsible for providing case management for clients who have expierenced trauma, including by not limited to indentity trauma, sexual or interpersonal violence, and childhood trauma.

Duties of this position include, but not limited to, the following:
• Provide direct, in-person and virtual crisis intervention, case management services for clients of violence and trauma and the people supporting those individuals.
• Provide support and advisement for clients involved with the University Equity Resolution Process and/or the Criminal Justice system.
• Coordinate client services by directly advocating for and collaborating with campus partners and appropriate community agencies.
• Organize and facilitate meetings for USART, the University Sexual and Relationship Violence Response Team.
• Maintain database to track statistics on services to clients to fulfill appropriate reporting requirements; maintain confidential client records in case management system.
• Conduct assessment to measure and evaluate RSVP Center case management initiatives, and utilize assessment data to enhance the services provided.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of informational and marketing materials regarding services, resources and referrals available to RSVP Center clients and the MU campus community.
• Serve on and assist in the leadership of local, state and University-wide committees, as appropriate.
• Assist with additional routine and daily functions of the RSVP Center as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary

$21.63- $23.56/hour

Grade: GGS 8

Shift

Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some nights and weekends as needed for programming.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master's degree in social work, psychology, college student development, or college personnel management

• 2 years of experience working with trauma informed practices and/or underrepresented groups on a college campus; speficically in a cinical or case mangement setting

• Experience and comfortability working with topics such as indentity trauma, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, sexual harassment, rape culture, adverse childhoos experinces, oppression and identity politics, and the intersection of all the above

• Experience providing one-on-one case management

• Previous experience supporting and working with underserved and underrepresented races, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, ability statuses, religions, and cultures

• Cultural competence and knowledge for facilitating trainings on diversity, social justice, unconscious bias, bystander intervention and other related topics

• Ability to build positive and collaborative working relationships with faculty, staff, and students

• Knowledge and application of higher education research and best practices from college student development theory and student success

The ideal candidate would possess strong analytical skills, capacity to respond well to persons in distress, ability to work in an autonomous environment, discretion and sound judgment. Holds compacity to assist clients through academic issues without creating dependency.
