Reporting to the Executive Director of the Equal Opportunity Office, the ADA Accessibility Manager manages the process of determining the eligibility of employee accommodations and works to advance accessibility within our campus community. This position requires experience conducting the interactive dialogue, providing knowledgeable and inclusive training, and collaborating with key partners across a campus community. 

 

  • Provides overall coordination of reasonable accommodations under the ADA. Duties include 1) discussion with the employee, their manager, and relevant campus partner as appropriate, 2) evaluation, 3) record keeping, 4) identification and implementation of accommodations, 4) monitoring, 5) accommodation notification/documentation, and 6) consultation with campus offices as needed. 
  • Collaborate with other offices as named, to evaluate medical information, restrictions/limitations, and accommodation requests.
  • Supervise the ADA Specialist to ensure the proper tracking and documentation of all requests and ensure consistent response to requests. 
  • Makes recommendations for policy and process improvements including ongoing review and development of procedures based on knowledge/expertise of current state and federal law and regulation related to the ADA, Section 504, and federal regulatory requirements for educational institutions receiving federal assistance. 
  • Supports EOO initiatives and efforts including participation on committees or conducting trainings.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5-8 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience in accommodations within a large organization is preferred.
