Associate Director & Open Rank Research Professor
About the Opportunity
The Associate Director position is a new position and will support the continued development of the Institute for Health, Equity, and Social Justice research mission. The Associate Director will be a Research Faculty member in Bouve' College in a department that aligns with their discipline and expertise. The Associate Director position allows for the inclusion of administrative leadership activities at the Institute and the continued development of the scholar's research portfolio. We are particularly interested in scholars with research areas of focus that include public mental health and substance use, violence and trauma studies, and refugee and immigrant health however scholars with work in health equity and social justice are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include: developing and leading an independent and externally funded research program; supporting the Institute for Health, Equity, and Social Justice Director in leading the Institute's multiple efforts including the Faculty Scholars Program, the Health Equity Intern program, supporting our graduate student community (Masters and doctoral), engagement events within and outside the university; and collaborate with Institute for Health, Equity, and Social Justice faculty and colleagues from across the university to develop research to further the areas of strength at the Institute for Health, Equity, and Social Justice. Qualified candidates must have experience in, or a demonstrated commitment to, working with diverse student populations and/or in a culturally diverse work and educational environment.
Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in public health or related field.
- Strong track record in writing and securing research grants.
- Demonstrate commitment to working with diverse student populations and/or in a culturally diverse work and educational environment.
