Job Description

The School of Medicine and the Department of Dermatology are pleased to announce the opening of a Sr. Business Support Specialist.

We are seeking an energetic, professional, and highly motivated Sr. Business Support Specialist, who is interested in joining a fast-paced, highly productive team. The position will partner with clinical and research staff to support advancement of the overall culture of the Department of Dermatology, which fosters a fast learning and continuously improving organization to further out mission.

Position overview:
Manage all aspects of the process for faculty and staff recruitment including preparing the position requisitions, justifications, position classification questionnaire, posting of position, selection of candidates, interviews, salary recommendations, offer to candidate, worksheet and approval of hire and preparation of offer letter. Load faculty recruitment documents into SharePoint.

Arrange and oversee faculty candidate visits, including planning and preparing itineraries, tracking visits, and travel arrangements.
Assist with faculty and staff onboarding.

Administer, manage prepare, verify, and approve payroll through Time and Labor for Monthly and Bi-Weekly employees. Correct timesheets input missing time and adjust leave.

Prepare and execute all additional documentations such as extra compensation, additional pay forms, rosters for pay, online check request.
Provider customer service assistance to employees regarding questions on pay stubs, retirement, leave accruals, changing accounts, benefits, etc.

Provide backup assistance to the credentialing coordinator for the Department.

Creation of quarterly department newsletter, community events and assist on development projects.

Maintain calendars, by scheduling meetings, taking minutes, if needed and ensuring faculty members and Administrator has need documents.

Assist fiscal office and our clinical trials division with administrative support.

Salary

Salary Range: $16.92 - $30.68/hour

Grade: GGS-008

8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary .
