Summary:
College of Lake County is seeking a licensed Laboratory Coordinator to support our Southlake Campus! Under the general supervision of the Healthcare Program Manager within the Biological and Health Sciences Division and in collaboration with the Department Chair and faculty in the HWP, KIN, and MAS programs, this position provides logistical support and coordination for the Health & Wellness Promotion, Kinesiology, and Massage Therapy academic programs across multiple campuses. This position also provides coordination of programs and services offered through the college's Center for Health & Wellness Promotion across multiple campuses (including Student Therapeutic Massage Public Clinic, Human Performance Lab, and the Resident Program).

Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION:o Associates degree in preventative health, wellness or kinesiology discipline or relevant health field from an accredited institution.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:o Current national certification from one or more of the following: ACSM, NSCA, NBC-HWC or an equivalent national certification from a nationally accrediting body OR State Licensure in an allied health field (e.g. massage therapy, physical therapy assistant) EXPERIENCE:o A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in one or more of the following: exercise/fitness; health/wellness; massage therapy TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:o Able to operate a variety of massage, fitness and wellness equipmento Proficient in Microsoft Office Suiteo Able to sit, walk, stand for long periods of time, bend, lift 25-50 lbs., carry 25-50 lbs., able to occasionally squat, climb, kneel, twist OTHER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:o Strong strategic, creative, problem-solving and organizational skillso Proven ability to work within a team environmento Effectiveness in setting priorities and discovering new ways to create efficiencieso Proven ability to work effectively with individuals and teams from diverse backgrounds and professional responsibilities. Summary of Essential Functions:
Department Operations and Procedures (50%)

1) Organizes, prepares, and maintains all necessary equipment, supplies, and infection prevention and control for HWP/MAS/KIN classes and labs across multiple campuses.2) Assists HWP/KIN/MAS faculty with day to day logistical operations of classes/labs.3) Maintains and updates inventory of wellness lab equipment and assists in planning for the replacement, maintenance and/or upgrade on a regular basis.4) Arranges for repair and maintenance of equipment.5) Maintains contact with CLC’s various departments (e.g. facilities, IT) and off-campus vendors to maintain and fulfill departmental needs.6) Assists HWP dept chair in ordering and organizing supplies/equipment for HWP/MAS/KIN courses and the CHWP.7) Assists in overseeing wellness operations and services at the Center for Health and Wellness Promotion (CHWP).8) Coordinates logistics for wellness services through the CHWP on multiple campuses.9) Assists in maintaining systems for data collection, analysis and continuous improvements as they relate to the services offered through the CHWP.10) Tracks the effectiveness of CHWP’s services in order to meet all expressed outcomes.11) Assists with tracking of the revenue, budget, and payroll for the CHWP.12) Assists with creating marketing materials for the CHWP, Student MAS Clinic, and wellness academic programs.13) Keeps abreast of personal training, massage therapy, health and wellness coaching, exercise testing, and strength and conditioning standards as related to accreditation, licensure/certification, professional organizations, employment, continuing education, clinic operations, risk management, and equipment.14) Maintains confidentiality of all materials related to services rendered through wellness classes and the CHWP.15) Other duties as assigned.

Student and Customer Service (30%)

1) Actively participates in on and off campus marketing and recruitment efforts to increase student and community awareness of Health and Wellness Promotion programs and services.2) Assists with scheduling and collecting payment for student wellness services that meet academic outcomes for HWP and KIN classes.3) Promotes massage therapy services internally and externally to meet academic learning outcomes for the therapeutic massage student public clinic.4) Provides support to HWP/KIN/MAS department chair, and full- and part-time faculty by scheduling appointments and other related activities in which to; serve student, faculty, staff and community members.5) Fosters and promotes camaraderie and inclusivity in programming and services.6) Provides on-campus support and guidance for walk-in students at the Southlake Campus.7) Consults with HWP/KIN/MAS faculty and staff regarding wellness services as they related to improving recruitment and retention of CLC students.8) Assists in researching and implementing CHWP alternative delivery formats of wellness services.9) Models professional conduct and support safety standards for students and clients.

Management and Supervision (15%)

1) Works collaboratively with the Dean of Biological Health Sciences, Healthcare Program Manager, Department Chair of HWP/MAS/KIN, faculty, students, and key stakeholders at the college2) Hires and supervises student workers.3) Hires and supervises part-time flex employees and oversees independent contractors4) Collaborates with Student Massage Therapy Clinic Instructor5) Ensures student and faculty conduct conform to the CHWP policies.

Other (5%)

1) Serves on departmental, divisional, and/or college-wide committees.
