The BSU Intercollegiate Athletic Department sports
programs are a member of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference
(NSIC) and Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). BSU
sponsors the following NSIC sports teams: football, men and women’s
basketball, women’s soccer, volleyball, women’s cross country,
women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, softball, baseball, men
and women’s golf, and women’s tennis as a member of the NCAA
Division II. The WCHA men and women’s ice hockey teams are a member of the NCAA
Division I. The Athletic Department is fully committed to equity

Responsibilities of the Assistant Women’s Hockey
- Assisting the Head Coach with organization of the NCAA Division
I Ice Hockey Program.
- Demonstrating a commitment to adhering to all rules and
regulations of the NCAA Division I and WCHA.
- Recruiting students to participate in the Ice Hockey
- Providing on-ice coaching to participants.
- Traveling extensively for the program.
Minimum qualifications for this position
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division I and WCHA Rules.
- Two (2) years of hockey coaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes.
- Evidence of a strong work ethic and high level of integrity and

- 2 years of NCAA Division I Ice Hockey coaching experience.
