Description
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor's College of Humanities and Sciences is seeking a visiting, non-tenure-track faculty position in Social Work for the 2022-23 academic year. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment in a global society.

UMHB is conveniently located in Belton, an historic town of 22,000 in the heart of central Texas. Nearby cities are Temple (5 miles), Waco (45 miles), Austin (65 miles), San Antonio (130 miles) and Dallas/Ft. Worth (130 miles). Excellent schools, abundant cultural and recreational opportunities, and a high quality of life are hallmarks of the local community.

Specific Responsibilities:
Teach lower and upper-level courses throughout the social work curriculum. Visiting instructors typically will teach 15 hours per semester.
Qualifications:
  1. A master's degree in social work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required. A doctorate in social work or related field is preferred.
  2. A minimum of two years post-masters practice experience is required.
  3. Must possess a current and valid Texas social work license in good standing (LMSW or LCSW).
  4. Excellent teaching and communication skills, a dedication to professional attainment, and commitment to quality improvement are essential.
  5. Must be an active, and committed Christian.
