Position Summary:
The Aircraft Maintenance Assistant supports the EKU Aviation Maintenance team that is responsible for maintaining the EKU fleet of aircraft. As a member of the EKU Aviation team, this individual contributor, under supervision, works closely with other staff members and aircraft maintenance contractor representatives to ensure efficient operation of the maintenance program and to ensure and improve the integrity of EKU Aviation Maintenance Program

Minimum Education:
  • high school diploma





Minimum Experience:
  • Two years of related experience is required.
  • Administrative or record keeping experience is preferred.

Desired Qualifications:
Aviation A&P license
FAA pilot certificate (Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII, or MEI)
prior aviation maintenance experience

  • Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening).
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Manages Aircraft Prop data base
Manages Aircraft Total Airframe Time data base
Manages Aircraft Electronic Equipment data base
Coordinates aircraft Rototable pool equipment status
Coordinates aircraft discrepancy "squawks' trend analysis
Coordinates scheduled aircraft inspections with other aviation staff
verify and validate accuracy of maintenance related invoices
Assist the Aircraft Maintenance Manager with overall operations of the Aviation Maintenance program including scheduled and unscheduledmaintenance activities, maintenance safety , and records management
Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
