Position Summary

This is an Information and Instructional Technology (IIT) Manager position for the College of Pharmacy. This position is responsible for leading and managing technical teams providing support for the College’s distance education programs and end-user technical support for faculty, staff and students located in Athens, Augusta, Gwinnett, Albany, and Savannah. This position works in collaboration with the College’s Instructional Design team to ensure classroom technical design, infrastructure and support delivery aligns with pedagogical design. The position should be proficient in the areas of technology implementation, technology installation, and end-user support for administrative and instructional areas. Working closely with the Senior Director of IIT, this individual is responsible for evaluation, tactical planning and implementation of technology for a unit, department or the entire college. This position is responsible for the identification, selection, and application of appropriate technology resources to support the unit of responsibility and the University goals for instruction, research, and public service. Solutions managed or implemented by this position will meet University standards for design, security, and delivery to meet or surpass University IT Audit standards. The individual in this position should have an aptitude for researching various types of technology and recommending the most appropriate solution for the situation.
