We seek a committed individual to join the diverse, interactive and successful groups in the department and across campus. Our collaborative environment spans the Colleges/Schools of Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, Arts and Sciences, and Engineering among others. The candidate is expected to develop or have a nationally recognized, active research program. Applicants at the Associate or Full Professor levels are expected to demonstrate sustained productivity and ability to secure extramural funding, with preference given to candidates with an extramurally funded research program. Investigators who study the neurophysiology of the cardiorespiratory or autonomic nervous system using modern and synergistic approaches are encouraged to apply and join our highly interactive faculty with translational research programs from “in vitro” cell to “in vivo” human studies. More information can be found at the departmental website ( https://biomed.missouri.edu/ ).

We offer a competitive salary and start-up package, a strong graduate program, a highly interactive faculty, and outstanding core facilities. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with a vibrant interdisciplinary research group in cardiovascular physiology at the Dalton Cardiovascular Center ( http://dalton.missouri.edu/ ), as well as a large neuroscience community ( https://neuroscience.missouri.edu/ ). In addition, the University of Missouri System is in the process of developing the NextGen Precision Health Initiative - a dynamic system-wide effort, focused on developing the breakthrough research needed to facilitate essential advances in global health ( https://precisionhealth.umsystem.edu/ ).
