Job Summary

The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position is primarily responsible for teaching graduate courses in nursing and advising students in the MSN and DNP programs; maintaining full faculty involvement in University, College, School, and professional service; contributing to the nursing body of knowledge through personal and collaborative scholarship; effective leadership skills and the ability to work collegially in a group of dedicated graduate faculty.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Earned graduate degree in nursing, AND a doctoral degree in nursing or related field
2. Active, unencumbered Alabama registered nurse license, or a multistate registered nurse license issued by a party state
3. National Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner
4. Academic and experiential qualifications to teach in the area assigned
5. Minimum of at least three years of employment as a registered nurse
