Description
The Department of Mass Communication
and Media in the College of Arts and Science at GUST invites
applicants for a full-time faculty position in Digital Media
Production. The successful candidate will teach, among others,
Fundamentals of Broadcasting, Multi-camera Studio Production,
Location production skills for film and video, Visual Storytelling,
and Advanced A/V Production practices and workflow. Proven
abilities in the scholarship of film and cinema studies, and
international broadcasting cultures, are viewed as major
assets. The State of Kuwait does not recognize degrees from
online universities.
Minimun qualifications
The applicant must have completed a
PhD in Digital Media Production or any related field from
a reputable North American (U.S. or Canada) or European university
with an extensive teaching experience. The ideal candidate should
have a strong commitment to quality teaching, have a mix of
academic, professional and technical expertise in this
area. He/she should possess excellent communication skills in
English, must be ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, with the
ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
Gulf University for Science and
Technology (GUST) was established in 2002 as Kuwait's first
private American-model liberal arts university and affiliated with
the University of Missouri Saint Louis (UMSL). GUST currently
offers several programs in Arts and Sciences and Business,
including an MBA degree. GUST is internationally accredited by
various bodies, including ABET/CAC (Computer Science), ACA (Mass
Communication), AACSB (Business), NOSS (Foundation Program Unit),
and CEA (Foundation Program in English).
The College of Arts and

a BA degree with concentrations in public relations and
