 Job Summary            

The Discipline Communities of Interest (COI) Manager will be responsible for identifying, coordinating and implementing the day-to day activities of all Discipline specific COI activities, and will manage the discipline programs college-wide. The COI Manager will also play a facilitative role to assist the academic and student deans, chairpersons, and student services directors to coordinate course schedules and student engagement activities to support student participation in discipline COI’s college-wide. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees. 

 

 

  Duties & Responsibilities            
  • Leads ongoing strategy development, including data analysis to further develop and enhance the COI model
  • Participates in the development and management of grant projects to support COI activities and personnel
  • Directly supervises any COI grant personnel
  • Interacts consistently and effectively with stakeholders, including campus presidents, academic and student deans, department chairs, faculty, staff, students and community/workforce partners
  • Creates opportunities for peer interactions, including peer mentoring and similar activities that promote student-to-student interactions within the COI
  Minimum Requirements            
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in a student services related field and three (3) years of relevant experience in education project management or related field; or Bachelor’s degree in related field and seven (7) years of relevant experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
