About the Opportunity:
The Experimental High-Energy Physics group at Northeastern University in Boston has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research associate to work on the CMS experiment at CERN.

Responsibilities:
The Northeastern CMS group has leading involvements in the operation and upgrade of the endcap muon system as well as the operation and upgrades of the electromagnetic calorimeter and the Level-1 trigger. Physics efforts include searches for phenomena beyond the standard model, di-Higgs boson studies, and precision electroweak and QCD measurements. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the upgrade of the CMS endcap muon system and Level-1 muon trigger track finder, as well as to take a leading role in physics data analysis. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work with Ph.D. and undergraduate students.

Qualifications:
A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in experimental particle physics by the time of the appointment is required.


Preferred Qualifications:
