The Assistant Director will manage the SU Healthy Monday Program; participate in campus and community initiatives on behalf of the Center; manage Healthy Monday and Lerner Center digital communications, visibility, and branding strategies; oversee undergraduate student engagement and involvement in Center-related programs and initiatives; collaborate on research with Center faculty, staff, and student affiliates; assist with research dissemination; and assist with Center administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in public health, social and behavioral sciences, human development, or health education/promotion.
• Requires at least 1-3 years of relevant experience in public health, health promotion, and/or health education, preferably in a campus or community setting.
• Preference for at least 1 year of experience working with digital communications, such as website and/or social media management.

• Requires the ability to think critically and independently, problem solve, and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Requires strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Requires experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Preference for strong digital communication skills, including with website management and social media engagement.
• Preference for experience conducting or assisting with academic research.
• Knowledge of a University setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the SU Healthy Monday Program, including managing, promoting, and developing new Healthy Monday program initiatives; maintaining existing and building new Healthy Monday campus and community partnerships; delivering Healthy Monday presentations at community events, conferences, and classes; and coordinating evaluations of Healthy Monday initiatives and dissemination of findings.
• Manage Healthy Monday and Lerner Center digital communications, including development and distribution of weekly e-newsletters, social media posts, and the Lerner Center website; and identifying and implementing strategies to enhance public engagement with the Lerner Center’s digital outlets and increase visibility of the Lerner Center brand.
• Oversee undergraduate student involvement in Center-related programs and initiatives, including recruiting, supervising, and mentoring undergraduate work study students, interns, and consultants; and delivering guest lectures on population health and community health promotion topics in SU classes.
• Collaborate on research with Lerner Center faculty, staff, and student affiliates, including assisting with IRB proposal development, research design, instrument development, data collection, and writing research manuscripts, public briefs, and reports.
• Assist with Lerner Center Affiliate research dissemination via the Population Health Research Brief series and other outlets, including managing impact metrics.
