The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets; plan, coordinate, and manage projects and priorities in a rapidly changing environment; effectively collaborate, respect, and build partnerships with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders in a culturally diverse, service–oriented community; and work independently within the framework of an organization’s policies and goals. Successful candidates will have knowledge of techniques used for collection analysis and assessment of print and electronic resources; knowledge of current and trending practices and business models used for scholarly communication, especially open access models; functional knowledge of contract and license negotiations; demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills; strong service orientation; ability to anticipate and support the University’s values and needs; and the ability to meet the criteria for tenure and promotion.   Offers of employment are contingent on satisfactory completion of a criminal background check as required by the Kansas Board of Regents.
