The Complex Coordinator is responsible for the leadership, management and coordination of three apartment communities (1120 units), housing approximately 2500 residents from over 70 countries, primarily graduate students and their families. The Complex Coordinator administers the residential curriculum that includes community development activities, learning opportunities, emergency/crisis response, supervision of staff, and facility related issues within the residential community. The Complex Coordinator provides direction in meeting the diverse needs of the residents which include domestic and international

students and their families, visiting scholars, faculty, and staff. Through coordination with professional and paraprofessional staff and by working directly with residents, the Complex Coordinator ensures that services and the living environment meet the daily needs and mission of the community.

  • Qualified candidates must have experience in crisis management, and conflict intervention. 
  • Experience directly supervising staff. 
  • Two years of professional experience in either student affairs, customer service, hospitality, housing, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and appreciate people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience implementing a residential curriculum or outcomes based programming model.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including international students, graduate students, and students with families.
  • Demonstrated proficient technology skills using various types of software.
  • Ability to work independently and pursue innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Must be able to access apartments, community space and office locations. Light lifting may be required.  The work is mostly performed in an ordinary administrative setting. Work will involve stressful situations such as resolving conflicts and problem situations with residents and may require evening and weekend hours.
