Professor of Practice in the Department of Enterprise and Logistics Engineering

 

The College of Engineering and Computing at FIU invites applications for a faculty position of Professor of Practice in the Enterprise and Logistics Engineering program.  The program has a diverse student body of engineering professionals as well as traditional full-time students.

 

The focus of the Professor of Practice position is in developing and delivering high quality courses that support the Master of Engineering Management and Master of Logistics Engineering degrees in the Enterprise and Logistics Engineering program. 

 

The successful candidate will be able to teach a broad range of courses in classroom, online and hybrid formats.  Candidates with expertise and experience in traditional engineering management areas (such as project management and engineering economic analysis), quality engineering/management, enterprise systems. Data analytics and entrepreneurship are preferred.  In addition to teaching, some service to the program and College expected.  While not a requirement of the position, opportunities for a modest level of research or applied industrial projects may be available.

 

An earned PhD. in Engineering Management, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a closely related field is required.  Relevant industrial and/or academic experience is highly desired.  The rank is open.
