Visiting Faculty Position – Biochemistry & Molecular Medicine  

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Services invites applications for a visiting faculty position to be filled at a rank and salary commensurate to the applicant’s experience.

Responsibilities: To teach undergraduate students introductory medical biochemistry and a laboratory course in protein biochemistry. To promote active learning, it is expected that appropriate modes of educational delivery will include lectures, demonstrations, class discussions, and suitable projects. Some of the related responsibilities include preparing course outlines and syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and evaluations/grading. Developing or maintain an active research plan is encouraged.

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Biochemistry or related field from an accredited institution. Minimum 5-year biochemistry and lab teaching experience at the university level. Applicant must demonstrate the potential for classroom instructional excellence, good teaching practices, and teaching philosophy, and provide recent teaching evaluations.
