Salary for Announcement
The salary range for this position is $48,000 – $62,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing and leading the development, implementation, reporting, coordination and delivery of communications utilizing modern, innovative an appropriate systems of delivery for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. This position plays an important role in the development and delivery of all financial aid communications. The position is responsible for the collection of historic and current data, the development of assessments for communications as well as research, data and trend analysis to determine the effectiveness of communications and modalities.
The manager collaborates with campus departments and community partners towards the strategic enrollment management services initiatives including recommending, establishing, and administering procedures and policies related to the delivery of federal title IV aid programs and services to students. All duties require an excellent sense for financial aid communications and current fluency on federal, state, institutional and private donor regulations and office policies and procedures in order to assure accurate release of information and guidance in program compliance.

Duties/Responsibilities
Communications- 60%
- Coordinate, develop and maintain all communications from the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, including website updates and resources, notifications, forms, printed materials, campaign materials, text campaigns, etc. through collaborative efforts to ensure appropriate and accessible information is available to students, families, faculty, staff, partners.
- Develop strategies for the creation and maintenance of communications for MSU Denver via website, letter, email, text, promotional materials, chatbot, social media and other communication modalities.
- Work to integrate student-facing communications, resources and materials with direct communications originating from a variety of systems including Banner, Slate, e-Forms, Chatbot, Social Media, Texting Platform(s), Email, etc.
- Work strategically to develop and integrate timely messaging in coordination with Enrollment Management and other strategic partners, especially for incoming freshmen and transfer students as well as retention initiatives.
- Participate in the creation and delivery of financial aid informational resources, presentations, brochures, events, sessions, marketing materials, websites and collaborations for the MSU
- Develop and maintain infrastructure for creating,
- Gather and maintain all data (past and present) on outreach activities from OFAS
- Work in collaboration with Student Affairs departments to ensure consistent and accurate financial aid information and resources are available to MSU
- Familiarity with and comfortable using new and existing technologies for student communications such as Banner, Slate, Texting Platforms, Chatbot, Social Media, Email and emerging technologies.
- Experience creating and building eForms.
- Working in collaboration with the Financial Aid Systems team and IT Services to ensure technologies are integrated for efficiency and operating at peak effectiveness.
- Keeping abreast of new technology and communication strategy to
enhance enrollment and retention initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in financial aid, higher education or communications
- Demonstrated experience in financial aid communications,
project management or compliance.

Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in communications, education, business, accounting, marketing or closely related field.
- 3 years of experience in financial aid, higher education or communications
- Experience collaborating with others to create and implement a project, program or task.
- Experience using Banner Financial Aid Software.
- Bilingual language(Spanish/English). If fluent in another language, employee may be asked to counsel students/parents in that language. Please note: Work may include occasional evening and weekend hours.
Monday – Friday 8-5 with some weekend and evening hours required.
