Job Summary:
Reporting to the Managing Director of The Hill Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the Creative Media Manager, is responsible for developing and executing a innovative social and digital media strategy to optimize our engagement with our defined community. This goal is to recruit, retain, and develop relationships with all of our stakeholders and connect to our signature programs.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, create, edit, and publish content on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube,TikTok select third-party platforms, and blogs.


  • Plan, develop, execute, analyze, and optimize innovative social and digital programs to increase overall brand awareness and drive measurable leads to sales.


  • Develop and publish creative video (hype videos, promo videos, etc.) content for our social platforms.


  • Implement targeted campaigns working maintain and develop one consistent brand voice and drive results.


  • Conduct proactive analysis and measure success of all social media efforts, leveraging Loomly and Planoly, HubSpot, Instagram Analytics, Marketing Hub, Google Analytics, etc.).


  • Develop monthly digital dashboard reports that analyze and distill emerging social media trends.


  • Interact continually with various online communities to help grow an immerse fan base.


  • Maintain awareness of current developments in the social media marketing field.


  • Measure the success of all social media efforts.


  • Assist in email, Amazon.com, Google and other marketing strategies as they relate to social media.


  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Pursues professional development to keep pace with demands for services and information, including maintaining up to date information about the unit and university.


  • Completes performance review process with supervisor/employees to understand job performance expectations and how they fit into the department and university goals.


Relationships:

Frequent contact with Executive Director - The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and team.

Frequent contact with our campus community (students, faculty, staff) and off-campus community (participants, alumni, donors, sponsors, entrepreneurs, and partners).

Responsibility for Final Decisions:

No direct reports.

Reviews work to ensure compliance with procedures and deadlines.

Tasks involve interpretation of data and/or procedures to address problems or situations that are not clearly defined. Work involves non-routine/diverse work not defined by procedures.

Reports To: Managing Director of The Hill Institute for Entrepreneurship.

Education/Skill Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent work experience
  • AMA or DMI certification is a plus
  • Preferred B2B Social Media Strategy and Marketing experience with accountability in measurement, metrics, and ROI of programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, including advertising and analytic tools
  • Proven experience developing video content for social media platforms
  • 3+ years social media marketing experience
  • Demonstrated track record of social media engagement success
  • In-depth knowledge of online media required
  • Excellent communicator with strong writing and copywriting skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid knowledge of, Planoly and Loomly Analyze (we are currently making the switch to planoly), Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Instagram Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics.
  • Familiarity with Mailchimp, Wordpress and Survey Monkey
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills who is able to meet deadlines


Work Conditions:

Work is performed under usual office conditions requiring basic safety precautions.

Work is performed independently except where the interpretation of law, policy, rule, complex procedure or request for exception is required.
