Salary for Announcement
The salary range for this position is $41,200 – $51,500. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training.
The above salary ranges represent the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the ranges of possible compensation at the time of posting. MSU Denver offers a full benefits package.

Position Summary
The Art Studio Support Staff position serves as a studio manager for the Drawing, Foundations, Painting and Printmaking facilities as well as a digital fabrication lab.
The person in this position:
- Oversees supervision of open studio time for each of these studios and hires student staff as studio monitors.
- Works with faculty in each area to maintain equipment, provide efficient work-spaces, track supply inventory and assist with supply ordering for the facilities.

Duties/Responsibilities
Maintain Studio Spaces (60%)
- Maximizes the efficiency and safety of studio spaces by ensuring that all equipment is in safe working order. (4%)
- Maintaining and making small repairs to tools and equipment as needed, or scheduling major repairs with authorized vendors, (20%)
- Assembling new equipment and tools as they are purchased (4%)
- Working with faculty to modify the layout of furniture and equipment to facilitate workflow (4%)
- Acting as a liaison with Auraria Higher Education Commission ( AHEC ) on issues related to waste disposal, health, safety and building maintenance. (4%)
- Evaluates the condition and availability of classroom and digifab lab supplies (4%)
- Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment, and assists with purchasing and stocking. (20%)
- Oversees supervision of open studio time, recruiting, training and scheduling student employees. (38%)
- In order to provide supervision of the open studio time, the person in this position may need to be available as a resource for studio assistants in the evenings and on weekends. (2%)
- B.A. or B.F.A in Art or a closely related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of relevant work experience equals one year of education.)
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience working collaboratively
- Possess self-direction and organizational skills
- Experience managing/maintaining art studio spaces
- Experience maintaining, or a willingness to learn, digital fabrication equipment
- Experience assessing, completing, and coordinating (as necessary) general maintenance/repairs
- Experience ordering supplies, tracking budgets and tracking inventory
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday – 100% on campus
