Job/Department Summary:

The Procurement Card Technician performs financial record keeping support for Facilities Management and Services (FMS). Responsibilities include compiling and reviewing information for routine and non-routine financial reports, maintaining and reconciling procurement-card transactions, entering adjustments, transfers, and other transaction data, as well as maintaining and tracking accurate financial information for the department. Additionally, incumbent will serve as department's liaison for Procurement Express Cards (PEC) and coordinate daily PEC activity for FMS, perform general office support duties, and provide occasional backup for other administrative support positions in the office. This position also assists with the maintenance and operation of integrated financial systems and/or other types of records management systems, such as the Common Maintenance Management System (CMMS), WebTMA, Box and PeopleSoft, used by the university to monitor information. Detailed instruction is initially provided for incumbents new position. Once this introductory period is complete, incumbent will work independently, under general direction of the Manager of Budget & Finance.

Facilities Management and Services (FMS) is a large, complex department consisting of approximately 240+/- employees working various shifts and providing diverse administrative and operational services campus wide.

Mandatory Vaccinations:

The CSU requires faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities to be fully immunized against COVID-19 or have received a medical or religious exemption. Selected candidates should be prepared to comply with this requirement.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
  • Bilingual
  • Two years of recent, full-time equivalent experience in the area of accounts payable and/or procurement.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials or similar record keeping software or online accounting systems.
  • Experience which demonstrates intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Required Education and Experience:

Any combination of education and experience which provides the above listed required knowledge and abilities.
AND
Equivalent to one year of clerical accounting or financial record-keeping experience which provides the above listed required knowledge and abilities.

Time Base: Full-time- 1.0

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer - Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.

Salary and Benefits Information:

$3,126 - $4,906 per month / $37,512 - $58,872 annually (New employees should anticipate being hired at the beginning of the salary range)
