Adjunct Faculty Credit - (Nursing)

Starting Pay Rate: Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale

Schedule Information: Evenings/weekends/days depending upon course schedule.

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application can remain "Under Review by Committee" for 18 months. You may check your status at any time by logging into jobs.harpercollege.edu with your username and password.

Job Description: Instruction of students in the nursing programs. Teaches courses in accordance with their description as published in the catalog. Responsible for timely submission of attendance and grading records. Adheres to course objectives and outcomes. Filing current course syllabi with the Division. Utilizes the full classroom time assigned, meeting all classes as scheduled. Responsible for management of classroom, clinical and laboratory learning activities for nursing students; theory, clinical, and lab content instruction for students in these programs.

Education Requirements: A current unencumbered Illinois Registered Nurse license and Master of Science in Nursing required.

Experience Requirements: At least two years of clinical nursing experience and computer proficiency required. Familiarity with Blackboard Learning Management system and at least two years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
