Educational Psychology: Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in instructional design and/or educational technology. Primary teaching assignments will include courses taught in fully online asynchronous modality. Course assignments are made on a semester basis. Appointments are for the 2022-23 academic year. The position is renewable contingent on performance and funding. Miami University recognizes that technology enables us to find new ways of providing first class service and workplace flexibility. This position is approved for remote work on a full-time basis with occasional meetings on the Oxford, Ohio, campus and following a successful period of onboarding. Remote work is a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.

Required: Doctorate in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Design, or closely related field by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Design, or closely related field plus 5 years of experience in K-12 education, educational technology, instructional design, or similar professional experience by date of appointment for appointment as Instructor. Knowledge of Canvas or similar learning management system. Instructor position not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with any of the following: Two or more years of collegiate teaching experience, including teaching online classes. Experience developing online courses. Expertise and/or teaching experience related to other disciplines in the Department of Educational Psychology such as Learning Science and Human Development, School Psychology, Special Education, or Disability Studies.
