Appointment: Core doctoral,
full-time, three year, renewable contracts
Academic Year: Three, 15 week terms

Fielding’s faculty members are
distinguished scholar-practitioners. They serve as mentors for
self-directed students who apply their education to support social
justice and inclusive communities, workplaces, and society. Faculty
members facilitate learning through structured group online
courses, virtual sessions, and individual assessments for students
who choose to complete some coursework through independent learning
contracts. Core faculty lead virtual and on-site student clusters,
regional learning intensives, and scholar-practitioner offerings at
in-person sessions, including an annual January session in
Santa Barbara, California.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: An earned
doctorate (PhD or EdD), completed at least three years ago, in
organization studies, leadership, or development; relevant social
or behavioral sciences, or education.
Successful Experience in:
progressive, relational, graduate teaching; mentoring/advising;
guiding graduate research and doctoral dissertations; virtual and
in-person program delivery; relevant scholarly and professional
publications and presentations; and collaborative program
governance.
Relevant backgrounds
include: Academic and professional
experience with a scholar-practitioner approach in organizational
development and change; inclusive approaches to leadership and
human resource development; engagement in health care, STEM,
community, non-profit, social service, corporate, and/or
international organizations, supported by a commitment to
inclusion, equity, and intercultural awareness.
Demonstrated competence in teaching students from
diverse multicultural backgrounds; expertise in teaching and
supporting doctoral students in quantitative research and in a
range of other epistemological stances, including qualitative,
action-oriented, and critical approaches.
Also of interest are feminist, race, and queer
theories; decolonized and indigenous scholarship; and alignment
with Fielding’s commitment to excellence, diversity, social
justice, and inclusivity.
