Summary
The Project Coordinator will provide program support and data management to the Virginia Department of Health Capacity Grant. This position provides leadership in the planning, implementation and coordination of Ryan White Part B events and training programs in accordance with the goals and objectives specified in the Capacity Building Grant from Virginia Department of Health Center . The Project Coordinator will also provide some fiscal management support as well as coordination and management logistics for all Quality Management and Virginia Consumer Advisory committee events.
Duties and Responsibilities
(35%) Provide program support and development for the VDH Capacity Grant
(35%) Financial management including purchases, hotel reservations, transportation for events coordinated by VDH Capacity grant; Follow-up with Fiscal Administrator with billing/accounts
(30%) Information management; Maintain independently update training calendar and verifies that information in the database corresponds with information on the calendar. Collect and assemble a variety of program participant forms from participants using a define format set forth by sponsoring agency. Summarize forms, enter the information in the databases for monthly reporting, and distribute to trainers; Assist will application and obtaining resources to secure Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for designated events. Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities
Essential Qualifications
-- Experience in event coordination
-- Strong written/oral communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and an automated finance system/software, with the ability to learn eVA, BANNER and RealSource. Sensitive to confidential patient information and HIV/AIDS-related issues. Some knowledge of grants & contracts accounting and sponsored Programs Administration. Basic principles of business management, accounting and budget preparation principles and practices.
-- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
-- Experience providing program development and financial support
-- Experience working in Ryan White Programs
-- Bachelor's degree in related field
