The Opportunity:

The Executive Director of Enrollment Marketing and Digital Strategy is responsible for all enrollment related marketing and digital strategies to include individual and mass communication, digital content, social media, online advertising, websites, print pieces, CRM utilization and email marketing. They will work directly with the Vice President of Enrollment Management, campus enrollment Deans, and in conjunction with University leadership to execute a variety of marketing, digital strategy, multi-media and communication efforts. They are a creative problem solver who can work in a fast-paced environment and motivate a team to exceed goals, metrics and key performance indicators to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and a strong return on investment. The Executive Director of Enrollment Marketing and Digital Strategy will be a member of the Enrollment Management leadership team and will be a flexible, collaborative team player with a positive can-do approach. This position carries substantial independent responsibility, involves the prioritization of high-volume demands, and requires a broad range of abilities and the aptitude to exercise considerable judgement, initiative, discretion, and independence. They will have strong data analysis and data visualization abilities with a keen focus on highlighting return on investment for the institution. They will demonstrate cross-functional expertise (such as marketing, enrollment management, digital strategy) and ability to thrive in a highly complex and fast-paced environment. They must have demonstrated leadership capabilities, including people development/coaching, objective setting, strategic thinking, evaluative acumen, and a positive leadership approach. They must demonstrate work experience in web and graphic design, digital and content marketing, and CRM expertise. They will be able to demonstrate work experience in researching, planning, organizing, coordinating, and completing major cross-functional initiatives, projects or presentations. They will understand how to attract multiple audiences such as high school students, online, adult learners, parents, high school counselors/teachers, etc.

This position will also collaborate, participate and in some cases lead committees involving all three campuses. Additionally, this position will support University-wide initiatives such as strategic initiatives, Enrollment Management Strategic Plan, amongst others.

This position is an on campus role and will have office space on the Daytona Beach Campus. Qualified candidates outside of the local area will be offered relocation support.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Oversee strategic research, content planning, and execution for all enrollment related marketing and digital strategies to include: websites, social media, digital advertising, print material, communication flows, and lead efforts to increase awareness, potential leads, prospective students, and applicants to the University.
  • Lead and create a culture to support the highest level of performance from the Enrollment Marketing and Digital Strategy team through strong leadership and open communication. Ensure the quality and quantity of work meets the high standards of the University. Provide strategic leadership focused on defining goals, priorities, and metrics based on significant research and benchmarking of the ever-evolving digital strategy and enrollment management marketing fields. Prepare materials for Board and/or Committee meetings, routinely exercise professional interaction with Cabinet members, Academic Deans, high-level external leaders and all University officials.
  • Independently create and collaborate on presentations, tables/graphs, dashboards, and reports using best practices in data visualization. Research and summarize a variety of Enrollment Management Marketing and Digital Strategy trends and initiatives for the highest levels of the University to include the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing, President’s Core Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.
  • Research, Benchmark and evaluate trends related to Enrollment Management Marketing and Digital Strategy to ensure the University is using the most productive use of resources and obtaining the strongest ROI.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field is required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least seven years of experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive digital marketing strategy for a large organization is required; prior experience working in higher education enrollment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated work experience in web and graphic design, digital and content marketing, and utilization of CRM is required.
  • Demonstrated work experience in researching, planning, organizing, coordinating, and completing major cross-functional initiatives, projects or presentations is required.
