The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is accepting applications for a full-time, twelve- month, non-tenure track faculty at the rank of Instructor in the Biomedical Health Sciences (BHS) Program, Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS), School of Health Professions (SHP).  A Master’s degree in a higher education field such as MEd is required. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience teaching professional development, and experience managing graduate programs. Preference will be given to candidates with significant advisory, administrative, recruitment, admissions, and leadership facilitation experience at the post graduate level. Advisory experience should include knowledge of requirements and coaching for admissions into health professional graduate programs such as medicine, dental, and PA studies as well as design and implementation of individualized development plans for students. In alignment with the programmatic mission, a candidate who is well versed in recruiting from diverse student populations is preferred.  The BHS faculty candidate’s primary responsibilities will include didactic instruction and program management.  Secondary functions are advising, recruiting, and scholarly activities.
