The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a full‐time Assistant Professor on the tenure track. The primary activity of this position will be to conduct academic research in association with other funded faculty members, as well as maintain an independent research program supported by externally funded research grants. The successful candidate will focus on the development and application of cognitive paradigms in conjunction with neuroimaging, including resting and task-based functional MRI. The candidate will also be involved in development of experimental cognitive paradigms and experiments. The department has two dedicated research MRI scanners including a 3.0 Tesla Siemens Prisma FIT and a GE 750W 3.0 Tesla system.

The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in cognitive neuroscience or neuropsychology. The candidate should be well versed in neuropsychological assessment, neurologic populations, and fMRI cognitive paradigm design, and data acquisition and processing. Qualified applicants should also have a track record of first-author research publications in peer-reviewed journals and federal funding.
