About the Opportunity:
The Department of Art + Design in the College of Arts, Media and Design, invites applications Postgraduate Teaching Fellows in a range of design practices including Visual Communication, Graphic and Information Design, Experience and Interaction Design. We seek candidates with a record of excellent creative practice, innovative pedagogy, significant exhibited and/or published work and relevant teaching experience in the fields of graphic design, data visualization, experience design; media arts; creative technologies; games; and/or fundamentals. Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in and capacity for delivering undergraduate fundamentals and mid- to upper-level design undergraduate courses in our programs in Design and/or Media Arts.

Responsibilities:
The teaching load is 3 classes per semester with the possibility of summer classes for extra compensation.

Appointment within the Department of Art + Design locates you within a major urban private global research university and a leader in experiential learning, global engagement and advanced research. Our College of Arts, Media and Design is engaged with interdisciplinary creative scholarship, critique of established principles and processes and is comprised of a unique combination of disciplines and practices in architecture, art, design, communication, games, journalism, media, music, and theatre. Qualifications:
Candidates must have teaching experience at the college level and a doctorate, MFA, or MDes in Design completed prior to the start of the appointment. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years. Candidates should demonstrate a record of excellent creative practice, innovative pedagogy, significant exhibited and/or published work and relevant teaching experience
