Job Description:
The Senior Associate Dean of Admissions is a seasoned, strategic thinking, and principled professional reporting to the Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid. The Senior Associate Dean serves as a key officer on the experienced Admission & Financial Aid leadership team. Specifically, this Senior Associate Dean is charged with the planning, training and execution of undergraduate recruitment efforts, both on and off campus and across audiences and stakeholders.

Essential Functions:
- Serves as senior leader of the admissions and financial aid
team, particularly focused on tactical and strategic enrollment
planning and budget prioritization.
- In close partnership with Associate Director of Admissions, has
particular responsibility for undergraduate recruitment strategies,
including territory and travel planning, national partnerships,
professional development and campus visit team support.
- Leads the division’s focus on key enrollment goals, notably
increasing applications to promote the undergraduate division’s
socio-economic and ethnic diversity.
- Oversees transfer application process, including managing
communication, assessment and yield for university’s annual
transfer goals.
- Supervises select members of the admission staff. Responsible
for hiring, training and providing employees with ongoing coaching
and thoughtful performance feedback.
- Seeks and nurtures collaborative partnerships with internal and
external audiences.
- Works in close partnership with the Director of Financial Aid
to insure the synthesis of each department’s engagement among
prospective student audiences and s erves as a liaison to financial
aid during prospective and current student appeals process.
- Participates in extensive recruitment related travel,
represents the University at admission-sponsored events, interviews
prospective students and evaluates applications.
- Represents the Vice President of Admission and Financial Aid
and the division in their absence at on and off campus
obligations.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: M-F 8:30-4:30, this position requires frequent travel.
Minimum Qualifications: P ossess at least ten years of progressively responsible experience in highly selective college admission. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Proven supervisory effectiveness is expected. A demonstrated dedication to a residential liberal arts education, an appreciation for diversity and community, the ability to work well collaboratively as well as independently, a high level of energy and responsibility, and keen planning and organizational skills are highly valued characteristics. Travel (four to six weeks per year), evening and weekend hours, and a valid driver’s license are required.

the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Types of Work: Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

$89,663.00 - Pay Commensurate with Experience
