Director of Title IX and EEO

Stockton University announces a national search for a collaborative, innovative, and compliance-minded leader to serve as the next Director of Title IX and EEO (Director). Stockton is well-known for its comprehensive approach to student well-being and educational success. A campus culture of respect where individuals feel safe and thrive is a fundamental element of that holistic approach. The appointee is expected to take office in early summer of 2022.

Stockton University, with locations in Atlantic City, Hammonton, Woodbine, Manahawkin, and Galloway in New Jersey, is an ambitious and fast-growing public comprehensive university with a strong dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Stockton offers degree opportunities in the arts, sciences, and professional studies. It is part of the New Jersey state system of higher education. Founded in 1969, Stockton is known for exceptional program offerings and an interdisciplinary approach to learning, providing students with a diverse, high-quality education, and empowering them for fulfilling careers and meaningful lives while contributing to the social and economic vitality of the region.

The Office of Equal Opportunity & Institutional Compliance, led by the Director, oversees Stockton's compliance with Title IX and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) through its leadership and collaboration with members of the campus community. Reporting to the Vice President for Personnel, Labor & Government Relations, and leading the Office of Equal Opportunity & Institutional Compliance, these are some of the critical contributions the Director is expected to make: provide leadership and vision; foster a high-quality student experience; support faculty and staff; provide information, direction, and support for new compliance initiatives; establish new relationships and enhance existing partnerships with regulatory and enforcement agencies; and continue the upward trajectory of educating the campus community about the importance of institutional compliance and the role of the Title IX and EEO staff.

The Director of Title IX and EEO manages a staff that includes two Investigators and a Specialist. The Director also serves as the University's Title IX Coordinator and chairs the Title IX Practitioners Group, in addition to serving as the University's Title VI and Title VII Coordinator. This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position. Successful candidates will be required to show proof of being "up-to-date" with their COVID-19 vaccine status prior to their start date. Religious or Medical waivers may be requested at the time of employment offer.
